Panels

Once you start dragging the tab, you will see controls that allows you to relocate your tab or split an existing panels.

Add Tab

  1. Add tab
  2. Delete tab - if there is only one tab left, it will remove the panel
  3. Search tab by name

You can also middle click a tab to close it. A highlight shows which tab is about to close.

Media Panel

  1. Media list. Every file you have imported into the project lives here. Click a file to inspect it, drag it onto the timeline to use it.
  2. Streams — each media file may contain different streams of data. A typical video file carries one video stream and one audio stream. Click the triangle in front of a file to expand its streams.

Details of the selected media or stream are shown in the Inspector panel.

Import Media

There are 4 ways to import media, it could be a video file, an audio file or an image

  • Drag from file explorer / Finder and release it in the media panel
  • Drag a single file from file explorer / Finder straight onto the timeline. Blick imports it and places the clip where you drop it in one step
  • Title bar > File > Import Media
  • Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+I

Media is usable the moment it lands. Video plays and scrubs without waiting for an index, see Instant playback under Playhead.

Add Clip to timeline

Import clip by dragging from a media panel to the timeline

  1. If the media contains multiple video/audio streams, and you only want to add a specific stream to the timeline, you can drag the stream. The streams can be opened by clicking the triangle in the beginning of the media file.
  2. Drag the media item from the media panel
  3. Drag the media item to the timeline, it will show a preview of where the clip will be placed
  4. Release the drag to place the clip in the timeline

The Media Table

Media is listed as a table with Name, Duration, Status, Type, Date Modified, and Path columns. Status tells you whether a file is Ready, still Loading, Not Found on disk, or being removed. The table behaves like a file browser:

  • Click a column header to sort by it, click again to flip the direction. Sort several columns at once by clicking more headers, the first one you clicked takes priority
  • Drag a header to reorder columns, drag the divider between headers to resize them
  • Each column has a search field under its header. Type to filter the list to matching entries, combine fields to narrow down further, and use the clear button to reset all filters
  • Click to select, right click drag to box select, Ctrl to add single files, Shift for a range, Ctrl+A for everything while the panel is focused

Blick does not analyze a file until you put it on the timeline. Importing a big batch is instant. Waveforms, Überblick strips, and frame indexes are built the first time a file gets used.

Fonts as Media

Font files are project media too. Import a .ttf, .otf, or .ttc by dropping it onto the Media panel, dragging it in from your file explorer, or hitting Import Font in a text clip's Text Content effect. Imported fonts sit in the Media panel alongside your video and audio, with collection files listing their faces underneath. They save with the project.

Timeline Panel

  • Mute an audio track to silent the whole track, it will not be audible in the rendered video.
6Solo trackMake this track the only visible track or only audible track. If you solo multiple tracks, then only the solo-ed tracks are visible or audible
7Video tracksHold video, image, and text clips. When clips overlap in time, the clip on the higher track is drawn in front of the ones below it.
8ÜberblickGradient strip of the most prominent colours across frames, generated per clip. Useful to know where you are in a long video clip, for example you could see the change of scene easily.
9Video transitionFade-in, fade-out. Linear change of opacity of the video clip
10Audio tracksHold audio clips. All unmuted tracks play together and are mixed into the output.
11Audio transitionRamp-in, ramp-out. Linear change of amplitude of the audio clip
12Amplitude controlsThe horizontal line on an audio clip is its volume. Drag it up or down to change the clip amplitude. Hold Shift and click the line to add amplitude keyframes directly on the clip, hold Alt and click a keyframe to delete it.
13Multi-wave displayShow the low, mid and high tone of the audio. Gives you a clear idea of what happened in the audio track. For example, you can easily see when does someone start talking.

Navigating the Timeline

The timeline runs on a small set of mouse rules that stay the same everywhere, plus hold-to-use modes for everything else.

Mouse buttons

Left clickSeeks when you click empty space or the ruler. Selects whatever you click on: clips, keyframes, transitions.
Left dragMoves what you grab: drag a clip to move it, a keyframe to retime it, or scrub the playhead when you start on the ruler or empty space.
Right clickOpens the context menu for whatever is under the cursor: clips, keyframes, transitions, tracks, media, and empty timeline space.
Right dragBox selects clips or keyframes without moving anything.
Middle dragPans the timeline.
Scroll wheelPans vertically. With modifier keys it pans horizontally and zooms, see the Scroll section below.

Modal input: hold to enter, release to leave

Timeline tools work by holding a key. Hold it, do the action with the mouse, release. Nothing sticks, and there is no tool state to remember.

While a mode is active, its chip lights up in the bottom-left corner of the timeline, and the status bar shows what the mouse buttons do in that mode. Every hold key can be rebound in Title bar > Settings Menu > Keybindings.

Modes stack with the mouse rules. Hold Ctrl and drag to paint a range, add Shift to paint a second one beside it, release both for plain selection again.

Keyboard

Space toggles playback, J/K/L shuttle backward, stop, and forward at variable speed. LeftArrow/RightArrow jump between clip edges on the selected track, UpArrow/DownArrow move the track selection, ,/. step a single frame, and Ctrl with the arrows jumps to the start or end of the timeline. See the Playhead section for the full list.

The selected track

The timeline keeps one selected track in the video section and one in the audio section, and highlights the current one. Click a track to select it, or move the selection with UpArrow/DownArrow. The selection crosses between the video and audio sections when it reaches the boundary, and Tab jumps it straight to the other section.

The selected track is the reference point for track work:

  • LeftArrow/RightArrow jump the playhead between clip edges on the selected track
  • Alt+L, Alt+M, and Alt+S toggle lock, mute (hide on video tracks), and solo on the selected track
  • Ctrl+Shift+LeftArrow/Ctrl+Shift+RightArrow select every clip before or after the playhead on the selected track, add Alt to do it across all tracks
  • Pasted clips land relative to the selected tracks, see Select clips
  • Insert a new track next to the selected one with Ctrl+Shift+N: above it in the video section, below it in the audio section
  • Move the selected track, with everything on it, up or down with Ctrl+Shift+UpArrow/Ctrl+Shift+DownArrow
  • Click a track's name in its header to rename it
  • Delete a track from its right click menu. Blick asks for confirmation and tells you how many clips go with it

Playhead

Move the playhead by clicking or scrubing on the empty spaces in the timeline (the area that has no tracks) or on the timeline ruler, Blick will highlight the ruler to indicate the the area that you can interact with.

More Actions

  • Play/Pause video by hitting Space
  • Jump to start/end of timeline by hitting Ctrl+LeftArrow/Ctrl+RightArrow
  • Jump to the previous/next clip edge on the selected track by hitting LeftArrow/RightArrow
  • Move the track selection up/down by hitting UpArrow/DownArrow
  • Play/pause and rewind buttons sit next to the timecode display
  • The toggle next to the transport controls picks what happens at the end of the timeline: stop there, or stop and jump back to the start

Shuttle: playback speed and direction

Blick uses the JKL convention found in most editors. L plays forward, J plays backward, and K stops. Tap L or J again while playing to multiply the speed by the step factor (2x by default, so 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, up to 32x), and tap the opposite key to step the speed back down. The current speed shows next to the timecode whenever it is not 1x. Speed applies to previewing only and never changes your clips, use Rate Stretch for that.

  • Hold L or J for half a second and the speed ramps up continuously for as long as you hold the key. Release it to drop back to the speed you started from, or to stop if you were not playing
  • Hold K and tap L or J to step one frame at a time. Keep L or J held and the stepping repeats, getting faster the longer you hold
  • The step factor is set in Title bar > Settings Menu > Shuttle controls

Audio stays audible at every speed, forward and backward. Pick how it sounds in Title bar > Settings Menu > Playback > Audio at speed. Spectral keeps the pitch and suits music, Speech is tuned for voice and keeps dialogue intelligible, Varispeed lets the pitch rise and fall like tape. The playhead keeps advancing while frames are still decoding, so a heavy file never stalls playback.

Instant playback

Blick does not index a video before playing it. Drop a file in and it plays and scrubs at once, however large it is. Indexes still build in the background and cache to disk, which makes later seeks quicker and more precise on variable frame rate footage. Nothing waits for them.

Select clips

  1. Click to select a clip
  2. Ctrl+C to copy the selected clip. Ctrl+V to paste the clip at the playhead. The playhead is moved to the end of the clip after pasting
  • Select every clip with Ctrl+A, clear the selection with Esc
  • Select every clip before or after the playhead on the selected track with Ctrl+Shift+LeftArrow/Ctrl+Shift+RightArrow. Add Alt to cover all tracks. Use it to shift everything downstream of an insert

Where pasted clips land

Pasting starts at the playhead and anchors on the selected tracks. For video, image, and text, the bottom clip of the copied group lands on the selected video track and the rest stack upward at their original spacing. For audio, the top clip lands on the selected audio track and the rest extend downward. Missing tracks are created, locked tracks are skipped.

Copies keep their links, effects, keyframes, and transitions. The playhead lands at the end of the pasted group, so paste again and the copies sit back to back. Right click empty timeline space to paste there instead.

Move clips

Drag a clip to move it. Drag up or down to place it on another track, and drop it above the top track to create a new track for it. When several clips are selected, they move together and keep their relative positions.

  • Locked tracks do not accept clips

Edit clips

Hold Ctrl and drag across the timeline to select a time range instead of whole clips. The selection clings to clip content, add Alt to select across empty space as well, and add Shift to keep previous ranges while selecting more. Delete a range to cut that span out of the clips underneath it, or copy it with Ctrl+C and paste it at the playhead with Ctrl+V.

Hold S to enter Knife mode, then click a clip to split it in two at the cursor. The cut lands on a project frame. You can also press B to split the selected clips at the playhead.

Drag the left or right edge of a clip to trim it. Video and audio clips stop at the bounds of their source media. Image and text clips extend as far as you want. Trimmed edges snap the same way moved clips do.

Slip clips

Hold D and drag horizontally inside a clip to slide the source material under it. The clip keeps its position and duration on the timeline, only the part of the source you see changes. Slipping needs spare material beyond the clip bounds, so it only works on clips trimmed shorter than their source.

Rate Stretch

Hold R and drag the left or right edge of a clip to change its speed. Instead of trimming, the clip keeps all of its source material and plays it faster or slower to fit the new length: drag the edge outward and the clip slows down, drag it inward and it speeds up. Audio clips stretch too, with pitch preserved.

  • While dragging, the edge snaps to other clips and to the point where speed is exactly 1x
  • Stretched clips are marked on the timeline. Right click a clip and choose Reset clip speed to return it to 1x Context Menu

Rate Stretch changes the clip and is baked into the render. To preview at another speed without touching your clips, use the shuttle controls.

Reverse clips

Right click a clip and tick Reverse to play it backwards in place. The clip keeps its position and length on the timeline, only the direction of its content flips, and it combines with rate stretching. Reverse works on video and audio clips and is baked into the render. The same toggle is available as the Reverse clip(s) command for a whole selection Context Menu

Delete clips

Delete the selected clips by pressing Del or Backspace, or with Click on clip > Context Menu > Delete clip(s). Deleting a range selection removes just that span from the clips underneath it.

Scroll

The timeline scrolls and zooms with the mouse wheel plus modifier keys. The defaults are listed below, and you can swap which modifier does what in Title bar > Settings Menu > Keybindings > Timeline scroll wheel.

Scrollbar

The strip at the bottom of the panel is a minimap of the whole timeline. The highlighted window is the visible area. Drag it to pan, and use it to jump to any part of a long project at once. The chips on its left show which timeline mode is currently active.

Clip transitions

Transitions blend a clip in or out over a set duration. Video, image, and text clips take Fade In and Fade Out, a linear opacity ramp. Audio clips take Ramp In and Ramp Out, a linear volume ramp.

  • Add a transition: right click a clip and choose Add Fade In or Add Fade Out (Add Ramp In and Add Ramp Out on audio clips) Context Menu
  • Remove a transition: right click the transition and choose Delete Transition Context Menu

Drag the inner edge of a transition to change its duration. A transition can cover at most the whole clip.

Keyframe Editor

Keyframes change the value of an effect parameter over time. Place a few keyframes and Blick interpolates the value between them. The Keyframe Editor expands below a selected clip and shows one row for every keyframe-enabled channel of its effects, with a diamond for each keyframe.

Each row belongs to one channel that has keyframes enabled in the Effect panel, and only enabled channels appear here. The value controls on the left edit the channel at the playhead, exactly like the same controls in the Effect panel, and both stay in sync. The diamonds sit at their positions in time. Between two diamonds the value runs linearly, unless the earlier keyframe is a hold keyframe, in which case the value stays put until the next one. Before the first diamond and after the last one, the channel holds that keyframe's value.

Keyframe times are anchored to the clip. Move the clip and its keyframes travel with it. They can also sit outside the clip's current bounds, anywhere the clip could be extended into. Motion set up out there continues if you lengthen the clip later. The keyframe rows use the same navigation as the rest of the timeline: scroll and zoom work as usual, left click selects, right click drag box selects, and right click opens the keyframe context menu.

Linear and hold keyframes

Every keyframe has an interpolation mode. Linear blends smoothly toward the next value. Hold keeps its value until the next keyframe, then jumps. Use hold for on/off changes like a text swap or a hard cut in position. Toggle between the two from the diamond in the Effect panel, see Keyframe Controls. A new keyframe copies the mode of the one before it, so a channel set to hold stays that way as you extend it.

Working across several clips

With several clips selected, the Keyframe Editor shows the channels of all of them at once. Selected keyframes drag together across clips and tracks. Retime an animation spanning a whole scene in one move.

You must enable keyframes in the Effect panel to edit keyframes in the Keyframe Editor.

Hold Shift and click inside a channel row to add a keyframe at that point. The new keyframe stores the channel value at that position.

Click a keyframe to select it, then edit the value in the channel's controls on the left. With no keyframe selected, changing a value while the channel has keyframes enabled inserts a new keyframe at the playhead. The controls show the live interpolated value as the playhead moves.

Drag a keyframe horizontally to move it in time. Click selects one keyframe, right click drag box selects several. Copy selected keyframes with Ctrl+C or from the right click menu, then paste them at the playhead.

Create Text Clip

Hold T and click a video track to place a text clip there. You can also right click inside the Monitor panel and choose Add text clip.

Select the text clip and open the Effect panel to type your text and set its font, size, and color under Text Content. Everywhere else, text clips behave like any visual clip: trim them to any length, move them, and apply effects and keyframes.

New text clips inherit the font, size, and color of the last one you had selected, which keeps a set of titles consistent. While you hold T, a ghost of the clip in those settings follows your cursor over the timeline.

Keyframe Controls

Effects with a checkbox in front are keyframeable. Click to open keyframe controls.

  4. Keyframe at the current playhead: click to cycle linear / hold / off
  5. Jump to next keyframe

Ticking the checkbox turns the parameter into an animated channel and reveals the keyframe controls next to it. The diamond cycles the keyframe at the playhead through three states: click once to insert a linear keyframe holding the current value, click again to turn it into a hold keyframe, click a third time to remove it. The diamond's look tells you which state you are in. The two arrows jump the playhead to the previous or next keyframe of that channel.

Channels that blend between values also get a smoothing knob. Turn it up to round off the corners of the curve. Values ease into and out of each keyframe instead of changing direction abruptly, and on hold keyframes a hard jump becomes a quick soft one. Smoothing sits on top of your keyframes and never changes their stored values.

While keyframes are enabled, the value field is driven by them: it shows the live interpolated value as the playhead moves, and editing the value writes a keyframe at the playhead automatically. You rarely need the diamond, just move the playhead and type or drag the value you want there. Before the first keyframe and after the last one, the channel holds that keyframe's value.

Unticking the checkbox pauses the animation and the parameter goes back to a plain static value. Your keyframes are kept and come back when you tick it again.

The Effect panel supports keyboard navigation while it is focused.

The Effect panel edits one point in time, the point under the playhead. To see and edit the whole animation laid out in time, open the Keyframe Editor in the Timeline panel. Both views work on the same channels and stay in sync.

Effect Target

Effects apply to the current selected clip in the timeline.

If you have selected multiple clips, the effect applies to the last selected one. It has a thicker highlight in the timeline clip selection.

Changing the font, size, or color here also sets the defaults for the next text clip you create.

Transform

  • (Video/Image clips) Change base scale — Source / Fit / Fill / Stretch

Base scale sets how the clip fits the canvas before any manual scaling: Source keeps the native pixel size, Fit letterboxes the clip inside the frame, Fill covers the frame and crops the overflow, Stretch ignores the aspect ratio. The link toggles next to Position, Scale, and Anchor pair the two axes. Edit one value and the other follows.

Base Zoom magnifies into the clip without moving it, like a punch-in. 100% is off. Base Zoom Target picks the point it zooms toward, as a percentage of the frame, where 50 / 50 is the middle. Both keyframe. A slow push-in is two keyframes.

Additional Visual Effect List

Add these from the Add Effect button at the bottom of the Effect panel. Each effect can be added once per clip, and effects always run in a fixed pipeline order, shown by their order in the panel, no matter when you add them. Right click a parameter to reset it to its default value, middle click does the same on sliders. While dragging a value, hold Ctrl for finer control and Shift to snap to steps. Sliders cover the useful range of each parameter. Type or drag past the ends when you need more.

Color Space and Tone Mapping work together for camera log footage: Color Space tells Blick which curve and gamut the footage was recorded with so it can be converted into the project color space, and Tone Mapping compresses the extra highlight range down for standard output.

Amount Boosts edge contrast to make details stand out.

Temperature Shifts the image between cooler blue and warmer orange.
Tint Shifts the image between green and magenta.
Brightness & Contrast
Brightness Lightens or darkens the whole image.
Contrast Increases or decreases the separation between dark and bright areas.
Contrast Midpoint The brightness level the contrast pivots around.
Contrast Type S-Curve rolls shadows and highlights off smoothly. Linear applies contrast evenly.
Gamma Adjusts the midtones without moving the black and white points.
Exposure Brightens or darkens in stops, like a camera exposure adjustment.
Hue & Saturation
Hue Rotates every color around the color wheel, in degrees.
Saturation Strengthens or fades all colors equally.
Vibrance Boosts muted colors more than colors that are already saturated.
Levels
Black point The input level that becomes pure black. Everything darker is crushed.
White point The input level that becomes pure white. Everything brighter is clipped.
Grey point Shifts the midtones between the black and white points.
Black & White
Red Converts the image to monochrome. Red sets how much the red channel contributes to the result.
Green How much the green channel contributes to the monochrome result.
Blue How much the blue channel contributes to the monochrome result.
Sepia
Amount Blends the image toward a warm brown monochrome tone.
Posterize
Levels Reduces the image to a fixed number of tonal steps per channel, from 2 to 32.
Threshold
Threshold Turns the image pure black and white. Pixels brighter than the threshold become white.
Invert
Amount Inverts the image colors. 1 is a full negative.
Vignette
Amount Darkens the corners and edges of the frame.
Softness How gradually the vignette fades toward the center of the frame.
Rounded Corners
Radius Rounds the corners of the clip. 0 keeps them square, higher values round them further.
Crop
Top Pixels removed from the top edge of the clip.
Bottom Pixels removed from the bottom edge.
Left Pixels removed from the left edge.
Right Pixels removed from the right edge.
Tone Mapping
Operator Reinhard · Clip. Reinhard rolls highlights off smoothly, Clip cuts them off hard. Applies to log footage converted through the Color Space effect.
White Point How many stops of highlight range are mapped into display white. Higher values keep more highlight detail.

Audio Effects (Audio Clips)

Every audio clip carries an Intrinsics effect that cannot be removed. It holds the clip's volume and how its audio behaves when the clip is rate stretched.

Intrinsics
Amplitude The clip volume. 1 is the source level, 0 mutes the clip, values above 1 boost it up to 4x. You can also drag the volume line directly on the clip in the timeline.
VariSpeed When the clip is rate stretched, the pitch rises and falls with the speed, like tape. Off by default, which keeps the pitch fixed.
Speech Use the stretcher tuned for voice when this clip is rate stretched. Dialogue stays intelligible at changed speeds.

Render Panel

The Render panel holds the project's sequence settings and exports your timeline to a video file. Blick renders H.264 video with AAC audio into an .mp4 file. Sequence settings are locked while a render is running.

Video
ResolutionThe pixel size of the project canvas and the output video. Dimensions are kept even for encoding.
Aspect ratioComputed from the resolution.
Sequence frame rateThe project frame rate, 1 to 240 fps. The playhead, clip edges, and cuts all align to it.
Bits per pixelThe quality control for the output. Video bitrate is resolution x frame rate x bits per pixel, so one value holds up across resolutions. This is what Blick stores.
Video bitrate (Mbps)The same control as a bitrate. Type a target in Mbps and bits per pixel updates to match. Use it when a platform asks for a specific number.
Audio
Audio sample rateSnaps to common rates between 8 and 192 kHz.
Audio bitrateSnaps to common AAC bitrates between 64 and 320 kbps.
Audio format32 bit float stereo, encoded as AAC.
Output
Video / Total bitrateComputed live from the settings above.
LengthDuration of the render range.
Est. max file sizeUpper estimate from the total bitrate and length.
File nameName of the output file. If the file already exists, Blick writes a numbered duplicate instead of overwriting it, and a checkbox lets you allow overwriting.
Output directoryWhere the file is written. Saved projects render into the project output subfolder, unsaved projects into the untitled output folder. Both are configurable in Settings.
Render range
Begin frameAutomatic starts at the first frame of the timeline. Set to playhead I starts the render at the playhead instead, Reset returns to automatic.
End frameAutomatic ends with the last clip on the timeline. Set to playhead O ends the render at the playhead instead, Reset returns to automatic. Either marker can be set first.
RenderStarts encoding the render range to the output file.

Rendering and Rewinding

More controls appear when you click the render button.

While a render runs you can pause and resume the encoder or cancel it. The rest of the app stays usable while it encodes. The progress readout shows elapsed time and an estimate of the time left.

Rewind render — if you spot an error mid-render, move the playhead to the correct position, press "Rewind to playhead", and rendering continues from that point.

When render begins, the timeline shows the progress of the render.

When the render finishes, the panel shows Open and Show in folder buttons for the exported file.

Right click a clip and choose Center to move it back to the middle of the frame.

Click a clip in the monitor to select it, then drag to reposition. Selected clips show edge handles for scaling and an anchor point for the transform origin. All of it edits the clip's Transform effect, so every change can be keyframed.

Right click an empty spot in the monitor and choose Add text clip to create a text clip at the playhead on the topmost video track.

Media Players

Any Monitor panel can double as a media player. Drop a file onto it, from the Media panel or straight from your file explorer, and the panel stops showing the timeline and plays that file instead. Review footage before you cut it, or keep a reference open beside your edit. Open as many Monitor panels as you need. Each holds its own player.

Under Construction

A control bar appears along the bottom of the panel:

  • Rewind to start, play/pause, and skip to end buttons
  • The current time, a seek bar you can drag to scrub, and the total duration
  • A mute toggle for this player
  • A loop toggle: when playback reaches the end, either stop there or return to the start

The player shows the file as it is: its own frame rate and resolution instead of the project's, with the file's color space and rotation metadata applied. Drop a single stream from the Media panel, say one audio track of a multi-stream file, and only that stream plays. Player audio mixes into the output, and two players can run at once. Starting a player pauses the timeline, and starting the timeline pauses every player. Pause all monitor players silences the lot.

Close the player with the X on the panel's tab to get the timeline back. Players last for the session only and are not saved in the project.

Inspector Panel

The Inspector panel can show three types of information, depending on what you have selected. Media Info covers video, audio, image, and font files:

Selecting multiple clips

If you have selected multiple clips, the panel shows clip info on the last selected one. It has a thicker highlight in the timeline clip selection.

Meters Panel

Shows the output level of the left and right audio channel while the project plays. The bars run from green through yellow into red as the signal approaches clipping, and a thin marker holds the recent peak for a moment before it decays. Multi-channel layouts are planned.

When a newer version of Blick is out, an "Update available" button appears in the title bar and takes you to the download page. Blick only checks a version file for this, it sends nothing about you or your machine.

Every action in Blick can be rebound. Your changes are saved to blick.json in the local config folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\blick on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/blick on macOS.

Manage License

Enter your license key here after purchase, keys start with "BLICK-". The panel shows your activation state and the end date of your update period, which runs for two years from the purchase date.

Your license activates every version of Blick released up to that end date, and those versions stay activated forever. Only versions released after the end date need a new license.

Say you buy a license on March 10, 2026. Your update period runs until March 10, 2028. Every version released before that day works with your key, today and years from now. A version from April 2028 will not take it. Keep using the last covered version as long as you like, or buy a new license for the newer one.

Without an active license you can try Blick freely, but opening saved projects is locked, and so are the extra color themes. The title bar shows an UNLICENSED badge in that state. Remove License clears the key from this installation.

Status Bar

  • By default, shows the hovered panel type and the keybindings available in it, including your custom scroll bindings
  • When hovering on buttons, shows the button description and its keybinding (tooltip)
  • While hovering the timeline, the right side shows the selected clip's start and end times and the time under the cursor. Over the monitor it shows the cursor position in output pixels
  • Alerts appear here briefly and fade out, for example the autosave path when Blick autosaves the project
  • The right corner opens the Command Palette with all commands
